We know this New Year’s is going to look a little different this year. So we have found some creative ways to make it extra special this year!

No more waiting in line for drinks!!! We suggest to stock up on your favorite spirits, beer, wine, and more. This is the time to make some extremely festive drink like this:

2 (12 ounce) ginger beersplus more for topping, if desired
2 grapefruits or blood oranges, sliced
arils from 1 pomegranate, plus more for serving
INSTRUCTIONS
1. In a large pitcher, combine the wine, pomegranate juice, vodka, St. Germain, grapefruit or oranges, pomegranate arils, and cinnamon sticks. Stir. Transfer to the fridge and chill for up to 1 day.
2. Rim your glasses with cinnamon sugar, if desired
3. Just before serving, add the ginger beer. Fill each glass with ice and pour the punch over top. Garnish with pomegranate arils. Be Merry!!
cinnamon sugar for the rims of your glasses (optional)
Snacks
Even though you are not cooking for multiple people it doesn’t mean you can’t have tasty meals for yourself. Make these party appetizers to last all night or serve holiday appetizers for two. One thing you can never go wrong with? A charcuterie board, either sweet or savory.
INGREDIENTS
2 (8-ounce) blocks cream cheese, softened
2 cups finely grated white cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons finely grated parmesan cheese
1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
2 tablespoons chopped fresh oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons chopped pecans
1 whole pecan, for topping
3 tablespoons chopped chives
INSTRUCTIONSPlace the cream cheese in the bowl of your food processor and blend until creamy. Pulse in the white cheddar and parmesan.
Toss the chopped herbs and chives together. Add most of them to the food processor, leaving about 2 tablespoons out to coat the outside of the cheese ball. Add in the garlic powder, salt and pepper. Blend until combined.
Scoop the mixture out with a spatula. I like to scoop it into a piece of plastic wrap. Wrap it up and refrigerate it for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, you can form it into a tree-like shape (if you wish!) or form it into a ball. Roll it in the herbs and chopped pecans. You can either wrap it back up (depending on how long you will keep it in the fridge) or place it on a plate. You want to refrigerate it for 30 more minutes before serving.
Before serving, add a whole pecan on top. Serve with crackers, pretzels, pita chips - or any veggies of your choice!
Be sure to dress up!
Either you can dress up wear your favorite loungewear! Your home is now your runway. If you feel better in sweatpants, go for it! But if you want to get in the holiday spirit, you can't go wrong with a sparkly new outfit.
Board Games
We love playing board games and it’s a great way to pass the time before the ball drops. Everything from Monopoly to Medium to Twister should be on the table here.
