Mark your calendar and join us on Thursday, September 24, 2020, at Stanley Korshak in Dallas for our second annual evening of fun, fashion and inspiration for ovarian cancer cures.
Last year, over 150 guests gathered for a special evening featuring the latest looks, plus passed appetizers, specialty cocktails, music, swag bags and a silent auction, all to benefit ovarian cancer research and programs that support survivors.
Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance OCRA is grateful to Stanley Korshak, D Magazine, and the many generous sponsors and supporters who made this evening a success.
Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance is the leading organization in the world fighting ovarian cancer from all fronts, including in the lab and on Capitol Hill while supporting women and their families. Our mission is to cure ovarian cancer, advocate for patients and support survivors. To learn more go to www.ocrahope.org.
Your support will help us carry out their mission and bring hope to those affected by this disease.

Hope's Door New Beginning Center is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to building lives without violence in our community. We help individuals and families escape and heal from domestic abuse, dating abuse and family violence through our free trauma-informed services. Our community educators enhance the community’s capacity to recognize and respond to abuse through free educational programming to schools and organizations, while our certified BIPP facilitators help individuals who have exhibited controlling or abusive behaviors in the past achieve healthy and non-violent conflict resolution skills.
Our Impact on the Community
Hope’s Door New Beginning Center provides hope and healing to victims of domestic violence and their children. In 2017, our crisis advocates answered 5,855 calls to our emergency hotline and we had 573 adults and children in residence at our emergency shelters over the year. Once those individuals were ready to move to their own place we assisted 167 families through our transitional housing program. All clients, adults and children, are eligible for counseling and 1,499 adults and 963 children were seen last year. Additionally, our legal department assisted 589 survivors through the legal process with child custody, protective orders, restraining orders or divorce representation. We reached 31,653 community members through educational programming and outreach events, as well as providing 546 clients with BIPP services.
For more information about our agency or the services we provide, please call our Outreach Center at (972) 422-2911.
