Today, we want to give you some background on Texas Children's Cancer Fund and it's one of our charities!
In 2005 our friend and former model, Tyler Kuleb's, son was diagnosed with cancer. She introduced me to CCF when I was asked to help produce and chair the event with her. It was such an emotional experience and the organization was so amazing to work with. Our company has been producing the event since then! It truly has been one of the most wonderful opportunities of our lives.There was one moment we will never forget about this charity!
About 3 years ago, a young man came up to the technical booth after I had finished the fashion show. As I took off my headsets, he said, "Mrs. Chambers, when I was little you made my dream come true. Since I am older, taller, and my hair has grown back you may not remember me, but you let me walk the runway with Troy Aikman and Dillard's. I literally had the most awesome clothes to wear down the runway because of you. I just wanted to say thank you!". It was one of the most emotional moments for me. It was so great to see how healthy he was and I was so proud to have been a part of his life and the lives of all of the CCF children!
