Stonestreet is best known for portraying Cameron Tucker in the ABC mockumentary sitcom Modern Family, but it's not just his fame or sense of humor that makes him special. He has also used his platform to support the fight against cancer, a cause that touched his life in various ways over the years."My grandmother survived cancer three times. Both of my grandfathers and my favorite uncle lost their battles against the disease. Cancer has been all too close to my loved ones and was especially close when my mom was diagnosed, not once, but twice," said Stonestreet.Stonestreet credits the emotional support of family, friends and others with giving his mom and their family the strength to fight."With support, my mom beat cancer twice, but it takes a community to fight this disease.
