Lovely Libations!

One of our favorite holiday's is around the corner and we are excited to share one of our favorite refreshing cocktails perfect for any social gathering!

Watermelon Sangria 

Ingredients:• 1 part Pavan Liqueur de France• 1 part reposado tequila• 1 part sauvignon blanc• 1 part watermelon juice (3-4 big chunks)• 1 part sparkling water• ½ part honey syrup• ¾ part lemon• 6-8 mint leaves• 2 nickel size pieces ginger

Directions:Muddle ginger in a mixing glass and then tear the mint and add. Add watermelon chunks on top and gently muddle. Add remaining ingredients excluding the sparkling water.

Shake well and strain into a glass, filled with ice. Top with sparkling water and garnish with mint.

Punch recipe: Add all ingredients (excluding the ginger) into a pitcher, punch bowl, or watermelon. Make sure you use watermelon juice (blend in blender) and not the chunks. Mix together and serve over ice.

Partners Card 2015!

Partners Card benefiting The Family Place 2015, presented by Bank of Texas, is the only sale where you truly save. That is, save lives and support the critical work of The Family Place.Partners Card is the signature fundraiser for The Family Place, one of the longest-serving family violence service providers in the state. The Partners Card effort has raised over $14 million to help break the cycle of‪ ‎domestic violence‬ in our community. I could not be more excited to be the honorary chair for such a charitable cause.

Today, we are excited to share a little Q&A with The Family Place!1. The Family Place helps families suffering from domestic violence. Does this apply to only certain kinds of violence or can anyone call the hot line?

We assist with any type of family violence meaning that we service women, children and men. We offer a variety of services that includes an emergency shelter, counseling, youth prevention programs, batterers intervention programs and resources for people restarting their lives if they have had to escape abusive situations. 2. Where can a family find a shelter?We have an emergency shelter that we house women and children suffering from abuse at and also provide shelter for men who are victims of family violence at a separate location. We do not release the location of this facility for safety reasons. 3. Can you only purchase multiple Partner's Cards? Can they be gifted?YES! You can definitely purchase more than one card. Many people give them as gifts since the purchase of the card is the only money that The Family Place receives from the program.

Southlake Town Square Fashion Show!

Summer is officially in full swing and Trending LIVE was the perfect event to help update your wardrobe. A variety of retailers came together to share their latest summer collections along with in-store giveaways, bites to eat, and drinks! At 6PM, we started our fashion show at Rustic Park with MC Amy Vanderoef. Those who attended our show know the amazing swag bags they received. Each bag was filled with a variety of coupons, lotions, and other amazing goodies from the Southlake Town Square retailers. The show depicted some trends that you must follow as the weather gets warmer. The biggest trends we saw included: bright colors, prints, printed jump suits, It also looks like petal pink lips will be all the rage this spring and summer season. Finally, our favorite part of the show was when two children were selected from the audience to dress two of our models for a competition. The competition basically consisted of dressing our models with a variety of pieces including a table full of Kendra Scott jewelry. They both won a prize from Eliane Turner!
